Reg is a certified Peterborough home inspector helping homebuyers make informed decisions on their home purchases since 2009. He successfully completed the AmeriSpec Inspection Training Academy as well as the Carson Dunlop Home Inspection Training program through Durham College. Reg is also certified as a commercial building inspector, having successfully completed the CDW (Carson Dunlop Weldon) Commercial Building Inspection course.
Reg completed the inaugural Home Flood Risk Assessment Training (HFRAT) course at Seneca College in 2018. This course, a collaboration with Seneca and Fleming Colleges and the Intact Centre on Climate Adaptation (Intact Centre), provides practical training for industry specialists who can help homeowners address the growing threat of basement flooding. Post-completion, Reg was asked to review the course content as the colleges prepared for the implementation of online education across Canada beginning in March 2019.
He is currently an Associate Member of the Ontario Association of Home Inspectors (OAHI) and Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspections (CAHPI). Reg is also certified by WETT, Inc. as a SITE Basic inspector and is recognized by Natural Resources Canada as an Energy Advisor.
Reg has a background in manufacturing, customer service and construction. He is a life-long resident of Peterborough and enjoys using his new smoker, playing hockey and spending time with his wife and two children in his spare time.

The CRT certification is nationally recognized by the American Society of Home Inspectors and the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors. Home inspectors successfully completing the CRT certification requirements learn about the science of thermal imaging, methods of heat transfer, and thermal capacities. They also learn about the limitations of thermal imaging and how to avoid false readings. By becoming a CRT, a home inspector can provide a more thorough home inspection by detecting electrical, moisture, energy issues, and even pests, such as termites and bees, which the naked eye can’t see.

Andrew Brown is a proud new member of the AmeriSpec Peterborough home inspection team. Certified with the AmeriSpec Inspection Training Academy, he successfully completed the Carson Dunlop school of home inspections. He is excited to get his home inspection career started and help new clients enjoy their home buying experience. Andrew has over 10 years of expertise in the flooring industry doing residential, commercial renovations and new construction installations. He also has sales and estimating experience with a fun and friendly personality. Andrew enjoys fishing and wakeboarding in the summer, snowboarding in the winter and playing his guitar and drums all year long. Justin joined the AmeriSpec of Central Eastern Ontario team in the spring of 2021 and has performed EnerGuide (ERS) energy evaluations on over 650 homes. He is an NRCan-registered energy advisor for existing homes, multi-unit residential buildings (MURBs), and Energy Star for New Homes (ESNH). His experience has guided homeowners through programs such as: Greener Homes (2021-24), Enbridge HER and HER+, and the Canada Greener Homes Loan Initiative.
In 2023, Justin became a Level 1 Certified Residential Thermographer (CRT). When able, he employs the use of thermal imaging technology during a home depressurisation test to diagnose and identify air leakage locations. Homeowners are provided a specialised thermal imaging report with helpful guidance on improving the airtightness of their home.
Justin has been an active member of the Canadian Association of Consulting Energy Advisors (CACEA) since 2023. CACEA promotes and supports energy advisors across the country with focus on elevating professionalism, leveraging opportunities for members, and fostering collaborative relations with stakeholders in the building and energy sectors. Justin has enrolled in numerous training endeavours through CACEA, including: air flow duct testing, National and Ontario Building Code compliance, ventilation systems, radon mitigation and testing, and heat pumps. He is certified to perform CSA F280 Whole-house design heat loss and gain calulations for HVAC equipment sizing.
Also in 2023, he successfully completed the AmeriSpec Home Inspector Training Academy as well as the online Carson Dunlop Home Inspection Training program.

He has an academic background in engineering (B.Eng, Carleton University) and environmental science (M.Sc, Trent University) with research on long-term old-growth forest soils.
